SRP Diabetes supports principal investigators who will supervise a student in an educational program at KI (e.g. medical students, biomedicine program, master programmes) while the student performs his/her degree project work. Projects should be in the area of diabetes and/or metabolism. Calls are open for each spring and autumn term, and are usually announced towards the end of the preceding term.

SRP Diabetes supports principal investigators who will supervise a student in an educational program at KI (e.g. medical students, biomedicine program, master programmes) while the student performs his/her degree project work. Projects should be in the area of diabetes and/or metabolism. Calls are open for each spring and autumn term, and are usually announced towards the end of the preceding term. The supervisor need to be working at least 50% at KI. The supervisor should be a Principal Investigator / Group Leader. Postdoctoral fellows may also apply, but then their PI should be a co-applicant. Only one application per research group is allowed. The student needs to be defined and enrolled at an educational programme at Karolinska Institutet . If the students are enrolled at external programmes, then they are not eligible. Student degree projects needs to be in the area of diabetes or metabolism. Please read the call text below before you start your application. Grant sums depend on the period of the degree project ; 35 000 SEK (incl INDI) for a 10-week project, 70 000 SEK (incl INDI) for a 20-week project or 140 000 SEK (incl INDI) for a 40-week project. If a student period differs from these, the grant sum can be adjusted with 3.5 KSEK/week, i.e. a 30-week period could generate a grant of 105 KSEK (incl INDI).
