Emergency call for hantavirus or Ebola virus

Description

The purpose of the grant is to fund research that can rapidly answer questions of importance in relation to an identified outbreak of a virus with pandemic potential. Projects must be capable of generating rapid results that can be put into practice. The focus is on research that can limit the spread and consequences of the ongoing outbreak, as well as research that strengthens preparedness and prevents future pandemics. The grant is aimed at researchers who currently hold, or have previously held, funding from the Swedish Research Council. The initiative is a part of the national research programme in viruses and pandemics.
